72 watts PC on a 10 gallon

  1. Is 72 wats of PC too much on a 10 gallon? Heat doesnt seem to be an issue yet and stuff looks healthy. I was worried about "burning" but i doubted it would be a problem if i wasnt using MH. Any thoughts?
  2. no problems, many people use the 96watt power quad on them. I have 32watts over my 10, and i dont think it is nearly enough. 72 watts is only 7.2 watts per gallon. You should be able to grow some nice stuff in there though, and i bet the growth would be nice. Softies and LPS should do great.
  3. Thanks, i was aware of the light acclimation time, i just was told by someone that burning may be an issue. I know this person is not that knowlageable, but i figured i'd run it by the forum.
