Has anyone ever kept a pair, or a single one of these in a reef environment? I am wanting to know, cuz ill be upping to a 90 when i move in the next month or so, and i love triggers, but i also love my shrimp a lil more.

yea, I've had a blue throat trigger in my reef since I restarted, never a problem with shrimp. Great fish, niger trigger is also a good common reef trigger.

I've wanted a blue throat for a long time because they are such model citizens in a reef. However, I only have a 90 and everything I've read about them indicate they need a much large system, a 120 at the minimum. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Get a smaller one they don't grow that fast.

My 3 year old Niger has never messed with anything in my tank.
Got it at around 4" and is now 7-1/2" - 8" with really long caudal fin tips.
The only problem I have with him is that he now gobbles up the Seaweed Select sheets. Just started this within the last month. Tangs are quite p.o. about this!
