have you tried putting a fan in the canopy or over the sump yet?

I put a fan in my canopy and the water temp dropped 3F....

Walmart has several different types of small fans that will work, all under 10 bucks. I repalced mine this year for 8 bucks with a new one. With the fan, my temp only gets up to 81 instead of 84-85.

I'd never buy a chiller, but that's just me. Good advice Jared!

generally around 3 -4 degrees, but i put a fan in it today and it lowered it about 3 degrees so im trying to get my lighting on my refuguim to keep it at a constant, i put a fan on my halides witha times so it turns on with the lights, i may have fixed the problem

well i had a cover (which i took off) over my refugium lights to let the heat out and keep it around 78 so i put it back on and am trying to keep the temp around 80 and it rises to about 82-83 during the day if i can get this right then ill be satisfied without a chiller
