What are substances that can be dangerous near your tank? Any horror stories to tell? I heard that Febreze near a tank is bad news. I was burning some incense and I was wondering if chemicals in the smoke might be bad for the tank.

all household chemicals, pretty much all non reef chemicals are toxic. That being said, i've burned incense near my tank and never had a problem.

crack is very dangerous when introduced to the hermit crab population of a reef tank. they will pawn all of your corals before you know it.
