Hi guys. I can't figure out what caused it but my coral beauty has died. I have been watching for several days because she was moving a little slower and colors were not as bright. Water params were fine except salinity which I fixed with water changes. Nothing else in my tank seems to be having any problems. Before she died, eyes were clear, still eating and still swimming although much more shy.

Any ideas what could have happened?

I did have a large temperature swing the day before I noticed her looking poorly. Wife turned off a/c in the old trailer(I have not moved the tank yet) and temp went from 76 to about 82 over the course of the day.

    Thanks,
    Rob

  2. old age?
    hole in the head?
nipping on toxic things like zoa's?
76 to 82 should not be a problem if over a day time span.
that much over an hour yea might be a problem

how long did you have her?

Could have been a cyanide collected fish . . .

According to John Tullock, Coral Beauties are on his list of "Marine fish with a high lilelihood of problems resulting from improper collecting and handling techniques"

    Sorry for your loss . .. :(
