Thanks. I needed a good place for that magazine cutout, so I taped it to my fishtank. Where else?! :D Last week, I slipped a piece of black poster board behind the tank to hide the wire, it was a totaly mess with that power filter. I probably spilled a quart of water on the shelf.

Sorry, seanjen, I didn't mean to ignore you. My pseudo reef-in progress tank is 10 gallons.

I bought some new rock yesterday and need some opinions.

It looks nice, but would probly look better with sand and a background.

There actually is a black background right now. I'm holding off on adding sand until I build the stand and move the tank. It will probably be the last thing I add.

As of today, the lights/canopy is about half finished.

One of four aptasias is now in a bucket on my floor... the others had better beware.

New (sort of) power heads Don't scold me just yet about a 40X turnover rate, only two are plugged in.

Thanks to Something Fishey for tossing this one in the live rock tank.

I bet you that mushroom will not open as big as it can with all of that flow. Turn off the Powerheads and see what happens. I bet you it will open up the size of a silver dollar. ;)

Thanks for the tip. I added him yesterday. He's already trying to adjust to new lights and new water conditions, so I'll give him a bit more time before I throw another factor in the mix. The only powerheads that are running are the two pointing forward, so there's a pretty good dead spot where he is.

Zash, mushroom is looking much better. Are you using less flow in the tank, or are you still running both power heads ? Those lights sure have a nice hue to them for being wally world cheapos. ;) Are you planning on putting sand in the tank at all ?
