looks very nice! Is that a mirror around the rim or is it just that glossy that it reflects the tank? It threw me off at first, i thought u layered your sand or something.
Yeah, the stand is THAT glossy, I love it.

I think it's time for me to invest in a Calcium Reactor and Kalkwasser Doser

what brands are u looking into as far as equipment?
I don't know, I realy don't have the cash for a new one, but I am looking into possible DIY. Maybe I could model it off of yours?
yea they can get pretty expensive...but im sure at least ur pop's got some co2 tanks and regulators lying around the shop though?
What do you think about a doseing pump? I asked the guy in that thread what he was doing by way of Calcium addition and he told me he was dosing a 2part liquid (like I am) and told me that he didn't care much for Calcium Reators.
cant say on experience, never used dosing pumps before...why dont u try kalk? used it before?
No, I have never tried Kalk before.
Thanks Gary. I was just worried that I was doing somthing worng, I wasn't complaining that I wasn't getting enough growth (which it seemed that I was but I wasn't).
8 more months untill the 1 year mark!
You could easily make one of these, DIY. I can't get over how expensive these pieces of equipment are, seeing how simple in design and construction they are. You just need the materials and the tools, which you probably already have, and you could easily make these things. You could even save a bit of cash if you use CLEAR PVC for the reactor and PVC sheet for the bases, as opposed to cell-cast acrylic ... the PVC is more durable anyway...if you should ever drop it, it'll probably bounce rather than crack and shatter like acrylic.
