My new babies are blooming. Not reef related

    We have been waiting for our new hibiscus to bloom since we got them in april. What do you think of the blooms?

    The first one is a cultivar called Pelee's Fountain:

    Here's another of the plant. This is the first bloom of the year. As you can tell,this is a baby plant. It has about a dozen more blooms developing so far.

    This one was the winner of the 2006 Hibiscus of the Year Award. It is called "Black Dragon":

    Here is my hand in the pic to give some scale of the bloom. The bloom is so red it looks jet black on the outside of the petals. It irridesces in the sun and is stunning.

    This last one is a varigated plant with reds, oranges, and yellows in the leaves and has about four inch red blooms:

    I love those! Where do you find the exotic colors? I'm working on landscaping and would love to get a few nice ones.

    I got them from the Red Stick Hibiscus Society's sale last May. They came from that Nursury in Plaquimines(sp). I'll look up their website and post it here.
