Ok ill admit im not a fan of Red Sea, but I tried out this product when my lfs stopped carrying the SeaTest Aquarium Systems testkit. I must say, that I like it more then the SeaTest or Salifert testkits. I find this test is more convenient and faster to use. Theres no "powders" to fool with, just drops of 2 reagents.

On the other hand, the negatives are that this test jumps by degrees of "50ppm" per drop which is a steep climb. But I figure as long as im in the 450 ppm range, that im fine on the calcium. All in all, i reccomend this testkit for the "KeepItSimpleStupid reefer", like myself

I have used the red sea test kit. Overall ok, I personally like the salifert calcium test kit. It has a powder and liquid, but I found it to be easier to use.

i love the salifert kit...... or the Red Sea Calcium pro kit.... better resolution. What I do not like is the pinpoint calcium monitor..... it isn't too accurate......
