I might be out with the efflo. Its not looking good. It has developed some white patches and hasn’t extended polyps since I got it. Lights has been reduced by 50% for acclamation since I got the frags. TDF is doing fine.

you could try to put it lower towards the sandbed for a few days and slowly move it up towards where you would want it!

Off to the side on a small rack would be good.
If no rack then I would agree with Joe on this one and move it down to the sand bed or lower on the rock for a couple of weeks.
SPS are known to stress a bit when moved from system to system weather they loose color or go a bit blah in color.
Mine is sitting in about 200 par right now if that helps you any about 22 inches deep in my tank on a frag rack.

Check with @ihigh via PM and ask what his tank DKH normally sits at, this could be the issue if your alk is higher or severely lower and caused some shock to the frag that will take some time and lower light to overcome.

Tagging along for the ride on this one ,, its going to be fun to watch :) I am following a post on R2R kinda like this ,, Battle Corals is doing a grow out sort of thing with a Vivid Coral ,,, not sure whats up with that ,, kinda figured Adam would be doing the grow out thing with one of his signature corals ,,, but its interesting to watch ,,

I kinda always thought I got really slow SPS growth in my tank,,, after tagging along on that thread,, I seem to get pretty much the same growth that everyone else gets ,,, except for those special people ,, you know the ones ,,, they just get it,, they can grow anything really fast and always have sps corals for sale ,, or their corals would be growing out of their tanks :)

I was thinking of doing one over the summer time possibly with something easy but desirable to many to have in their tanks at least for the grow out. This would make things just plain fun to have many participants tanks battle out some growth. I'll start a thread about it and see what folks come up with for suggestions.

my dkh/ca runs about 7-7.5, 420-450, sg is 1.026 just for those wondering.

I actually have in total 20 TDF pieces, so we can open up the competition to that many. I'll add a 4th place and add more prizes if there is enough interest.

I'm going to make one tonight/tomorrow. Couple more need to be picked up/shipped out, looking like it'll start Friday at this point.

There are 2 more spots available for the efflo to hit 15. 1 more participant needed to hit 15 for TDF

Will be in contact with the 3 that said they were interested in the TDF.

There is a thread made for the two growouts, I know its a PITA but try to update with the lay out just to keep things straight forward. The competition is supposed to be friendly and trying to help others see what works for them vs what works for others.

Its not completely gone as of now but I quit adding a supplement I was to believe didn’t effect alk. I lowered the output of the hydra and lowered the frag to the sand bed. I also ordered a magnetic frag rack so I can lower or raise frags if needed.
