This is the second time I have found one of these the first was sevral years ago. It's very small and hard to see. Difficult to photograph. I was able to coax it off the rock under the mother nem a fairly plain orange one. I got it to attach to a piece of rubble with a few other baby nems. It shares a base but has 2 heads one appears orangish the other appears greenish. The last time I found one of these the heads were less distinct and more fused and both the same "sand" color they eventualy merged into one slightly oval looking nem with one mouth. Unfortunatly it crawled under a rock and was never seen again. I will try to get better pics as it grows if I can keep it from crawling off again. I'm hoping the heads stay separate but they most likely will merge to look like my 2 face rfa. Should be intresting. I may need to get a macro lenses for my s8 or dig out my old Olympus and see if it's any better.
Here you can see heads are difrent colors.

It moved partly under another baby nem last night. I can see both heads so it's still getting light and food. I hope it stays still! I'll put the little rock in a small container so hopefully it cant run away.

This sucker wont be still! It was crawling on the sand towards a cave so it's in nem jail. I got a few better pictures of it after I stuck it in the cup.

One head was had a definite slight green flourecent cast to it under my blues when it was at the bottom of the tank but in the cup where its at near the top even under the blues or with my flash on they both look brown and now I cant tell them apart. It looks like its settling into jail life. Now if I can just keep things out of the cup so they dont get nocked out. Strict no visitation policy in nem jail. My money cowrey was trying to check it out when I got home.

This thing moves around twice as much as a normal rfa. You can kind of see the color in the first pic one is green the other is orange under the blue lights. But my camera is seeing brown most of the time.

It's starting to grow and show some color now. The one with orange appears to be half green aswell it looks like the green from the conjoined head is bleeding over also looks like the center tenticles are fuzing between them. I know these things like to cluster and be near other rfa so I tossed in 2 other babies a yellow and an orange. It seems to have slowed down roaming around a bit now.

I may have lost this thing seriously not happy I suspect one of my snails broke it out of nem jail and dragged it off somewhere I'm going to keep a close eye out but I doubt I can find it...if I do I may have to set up some kind of mini tank just for it or something.
