It is time for me to replace my return pump for my 20 gallon softie tank in my dining room. My very old Eheim pump has an adjustment to restrict water intake to slow down flow. It would usually rattle if I tied to use this to throttle it back some. Now it is giving a rattling sound with max flow. I gave it an acid soak and scrub yet it is still noisy.
